In April our landlord decided it was time to sell the pub premises, and happily offered first refusal to the FOTG on reasonable terms.
Needless to say, we leapt at this opportunity, and following election of a new board of seven experienced, energetic and enthusiastic directors to The Garibaldi CIC company board, very productive efforts have been undertaken at considerable pace to secure the premises with a view to keeping it a community hub, and we’re pleased to report that the pub is no longer for sale!
The announcement of a General Election on 4th July has temporarily delayed finalisation of our arrangements, but as soon as that is settled we’ll be back on the case.
